Why did you decide to major in DJS and Political Science? I decided to major in DJS because we have a fantastic DJS faculty.  My first semester I wasn’t sure where I was going with my degree, but Kim talked to me after class one day, looked at my schedule, and noted that there probably a reason that I was taking the classes I was taking.

What academic experience are you most proud of? I’m proud of my study abroad experiences! I went to South Africa through DJS and Ecuador through Urban Regional Studies, and they were both fantastic experiences that I would do all over again if I could.

What is an important goal or accomplishment you are currently working on? My goal (which might end up being a next year problem) is starting a GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) at my school.  I think it would be a great asset for the students and a great way to build a better school community.

What do you do for fun? I really like rock climbing! I worked at the climbing tower at the Kress for two years before graduating, and I’ve also worked at a Girl Scout camp for the last two summers.
