GPS “Climate Crisis” Upcycling Totebag Project

Author(s): Students of the “Climate Crisis” GPS Spring Capstone Seminar (2021)

Faculty Sponsor: Dr. David Voelker (Humanities)

Students in the “Climate Crisis” GPS Spring Seminar organized an Upcycling Totebag project. They created “take and make” kits for making reusable totebags from used plastic shopping bags. They promoted the project using social media and posters. After distributing kits in the Union, they held a Zoom event and screened a video tutorial to help people make the upcycled bags. You can see the project on Instagram, where they also posted messages for Earth Day.
