What obligations do multinational corporations have toward the global common good? Manuel Velasquez, a well-known philosopher and business ethicist at Santa Clara University, argues that they have none. According to Velasquez, such firms have no responsibilities when it comes to mitigating climate change, protecting ocean fisheries, or refraining from the dumping and handling of toxic waste.
